PHYSICAL PROPERTIES
Resin type: thermoset
Average particle sizes: 3.0~5.0 micrometer
Specific Weight 1.34 density
Softening Point 150°C ~190°C
Decomposition Point 300°C
Solvent Resistance
The VA-series are substantially resistant to the following solvents and plasticizers:
AQUEOUS
KETONE
ALIPHATICS
HALOGENATED & MISC
AROMATICS
PLASYICIZERS
ALCOHOLS
ESTERS
GLYCOLS
Most solvents of the type listed may cause some degree of swelling of the pigment particles and for the reason, formulations containing them may increase in viscosity, to some extent on standing.
Mixtures of some solvents may have a more severe effect on VA-pigments than the individual solvents alone. It will partially solvate the pigments and cause more severe swelling and bleed of the particles than the single solvents.
Application
VA-series are thermoset fluorescent pigments. They are better in solvent resistance and heat resistance than VC and VM-series.They are applied in T-type gravure inks, paints, screen inks, and water based systems, where long term shelf stability required.
Typical application are
Paints/Coatings(water based)
Paint
Gravure inks(water based)
Screen inks(water based)
spray paint
Paper coating(water based)
