Resin type: thermoplastic
Average particle sizes: 2.5~3.5 micrometer
Specific Weight: 1.34 density
Softening Point: 125°C
Decomposition Point: 200°C
Solvent Resistance
The VM-N series are substantially resistant to the following solvents and plasticizers:
AQUEOUS
KETONE
ALIPHATICS
HALOGENATED & MISC
AROMATICS
PLASYICIZERS

GLYCOLS
Most solvents of the type listed may cause some degree of swelling of the pigment particles and for the reason, formulations containing them may increase in viscosity, to some extent on standing.
Mixtures of some solvents may have a more severe effect on VMN-pigments than the individual solvents alone. It will partially solvents the pigments and cause more severe swelling and bleed of the particles than the single solvents.
Applications
VM-N series are thermoplasic fluorescent pigments, with very fine particle sizes and bright colors than VC-series. They are applied in paper coating, textile printings, screen inks, gravure inks(water base),A-type-gravure inks etc.
Typical application are
Textile printings
Paper coating(water based)
Gravure inks(water based)
Screen inks(water based)

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES
Minimum processing temperature:190 ?C
Decomposition Point:250 ?C
Softening point:150 ~ 160 ?C
Specific weight:1.15 density
Grind:4.0 min hegman gage
Particle sizes:30 ~ 60 micrometer
Chemical Nature & Dispersion Properties
HVP-pigment is a Solid solution of fluorescent dyes in a thermoplastic polymer resin. To ensure complete development of the fluorescent color effect, the HVP-pigment must be completely melted and evenly distributed throughout the plastic system. The recommended minimum processing temperature is 190?C.
Additives
Certain metal Ions and nucleated polymers are known to cause color changes and loss of brightness with fluorescent colorants. Studies have shown that plastic processing additives containing “free” zinc, magnesium, calcium and iron will cause deleterious color effects when used in conjunction with HVP-pigment. If a metal containing additive must be used ,it should be thoroughly tested to ensure the color stability of the HVP-pigment. Also, refer to Technical Bulletin ,”Effects of metal Ions on fluorescent colorants in plastic”
